Nuventix synthetic jet systems applications have solved diverse heat sink cooling, FPGA cooler, and air cooled heat exchanger challenges to allow increasingly creative product designs.

Below are two examples, each illustrating a unique feature of the technology.

Asymmetric Heat Sinks Cooling Using Synthetic Jet Systems

Asymmetric heat sinks cooling - also applicable for air cooled heat exchangersThis customer was trying to cool two heat loads with two different thermal efficiencies. The larger load was routed to the larger heat sink where it could be cooled more aggressively. The synthetic jet systems flow was divided between the heat sinks. Asymmetric heat sinks cooling allows use of the right amount of cooling for the right amount of heat, minimizing cost and material usage. Similar applications for air cooled heat exchangers minimize constraints of fan-dependent design.

Chip Cooler: ASIC, CPLD, and FPGA Chip Cooling Using Synthetic Jet Technology

ASIC, CPLD, and FPGA Chip CoolerASIC, CPLD, and FPGA cooling when placed on daughter cards and motherboards often challenges traditional thermal management systems. In this application a low-profile SynJet module was created to cool a chip on a half-height PCIe card.

Nuventix synthetic jet systems applications for heat sinks cooling, air cooled heat exchangers, and chip cooling for an ASIC, CPLS, or FPGA cooler demonstrate the flexibility and effectiveness of our revolutionary technology.
