Nuventix Introduces SynJet® LED Cooler for Philips Twistable
Doubles the Life of the Philips Fortimo Twistable TDLM LED Module
Austin, TX – May 12, 2010 – From LightFair 2010, Nuventix, Inc., innovator of SynJet® membrane
cooling thermal management solutions, today announced the general availability of the SynJet CoolTwist
LED Cooler for Philips Twistable. This new SynJet LED cooler from Nuventix doubles the lifetime
predictions of the newly announced Philips Twistable LED TDLM to 50K hours, providing ultra long life
with the smallest thermal solution possible.
The SynJet CoolTwist allows maximum lumen output and extended life while using very little power and
gives designers ultimate flexibility in aesthetic design alternatives. The SynJet LED heatsink is the same
diameter as the Twistable Lamp Holder, which provides a sleek look for elegant fixture designs. Weighing
three times less than a passive cooling solution, the compact size and versatility of the SynJet module
provides lighting companies design flexibility and allows for design differentiation for track and downlight
luminaires.
“Nuventix’ SynJets are the smallest, adaptable active cooling solutions with proven reliability for the solid
state lighting,” said Geert van der Meer, Global Product Marketing director LED Systems of Philips
Lighting. “The SynJet LED Cooler for our Twistable product delivers the needed case temperature
required for long LED life.”
The new SynJet CoolTwist is the perfect size for track and directional downlight applications as small as
95mm in diameter. The innovative design enables 1100 lumens in small profile, offers silent operation,
over 100K hours of lifetime cooling and the highest possible energy efficiency for a thermal cooling
solution. The new LED cooler will be on display at LightFair 2010 from May 12-14 in Las Vegas in booth
2401.
“As industry leaders like Philips bring new LED modules to market, Nuventix is right there to help
luminaire designers create the most aesthetically pleasing and longest life products possible,” said
Thomas Dalton, vice president of sales and marketing, Nuventix. “SynJet modules have become the
industry standard for cooling high lumen LEDs, making broad adoption of solid state lighting a near-term
reality.”
Nuventix’ superior thermal management products are used for highly reliable cooling in a variety of
electronic applications such as LEDs, consumer electronics and telecom solutions. These products are
needed because when today’s faster, more powerful, and more complex electronic products are placed in
innovative enclosures, they push the limits of today’s cooling technology. The air-cooled, quiet, and
fanless SynJet products from Nuventix quickly dissipate heat in these applications.
