Jim Balthazar, President and CEO
Mr. Balthazar is President and CEO of Nuventix and is a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Balthazar has over 29 years of startup business and technical management experience. Prior to establishing Nuventix, Mr. Balthazar served as Vice President of Marketing with Active Power, Inc (ACPW), while it grew from 13 employees through to a successful IPO in 2001. Mr. Balthazar also served in a variety of Sales and Marketing positions over a 12 year period with Convex Computer Corporation (CNVX). He was Vice President of Marketing when Convex was acquired by Hewlett Packard in 1995. Mr. Balthazar began his career as an engineering manager with Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC). Mr. Balthazar holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from University of Maryland, and a Masters of Engineering from Cornell University.
Steve Darbin, Senior Vice President of Operations
Steve Darbin is the Senior Vice President of Operations for Nuventix. Mr. Darbin has over 25 years of product development experience in both startup and large companies. Mr. Darbin previously served as Chief Engineer for the New Ventures Group at Bose Corporation and Vice President of Engineering at ASF, an Austin startup which was acquired by Kodak in 2003. Prior to that, Mr. Darbin was Engineering Manager for Texas Instruments' Digital Printing Systems. Mr. Darbin holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and is a Registered Professional Engineer licensed to practice in the state of Texas.
Steve Farrell, Vice President of Supply Chain Operations
Steve is responsible for Nuventix manufacturing and global supply chain operations. He has more than 25 years experience in manufacturing, quality, and materials management roles at both large corporations and start-up companies, including Hewlett Packard, Sharp Electronics, Convex Computer, and Metro Optix. Mr. Farrell has managed high volume and high tech manufacturing operations and has extensive experience in international sourcing methods and strategies. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Technology from Memphis State University.
Tom Dalton, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Mr. Dalton brings over 25 years of international sales and marketing leadership experience to Nuventix from companies such as Honeywell, Tyco and AT&T. Previously, Mr. Dalton co-founded a successful internet startup company. Mr. Dalton holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BS in electrical engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
David Kollen, Vice President of Quality
Mr. Kollen is the Vice President of Quality for Nuventix with over 25 years experience in various manufacturing, technical, and operational management roles including early roles at two successful start-ups. Prior to coming to Nuventix, Mr. Kollen spent nine years at Silicon Laboratories where he had responsibility for quality and information systems. Other companies Mr. Kollen has worked for include Cirrus Logic, Analog Devices, Crystal Semiconductor and Hewlett-Packard. Mr. Kollen holds an MBA from the University of Limerick, Ireland and a BS in Physics from the University of Texas.
