Innovative Research Leads to a Radical New Approach to Thermal Management
Nuventix has grown into a worldwide corporation with sales, operations, and applications support worldwide conducting business in over 50 countries in a variety of industries including telecom, industrial automation, and LED lighting.
Nuventix is an active thermal management solutions company located in Austin, Texas. The Nuventix-developed SynJet® module is a newly patented synthetic jet cooling technology that utilizes turbulent pulses of air generated from an electromagnetic actuator. SynJet® thermal management is revolutionizing how and where we use air cooling. From LED lighting to servers to embedded systems, high reliability air cooling is now an option for the most demanding environments. Learn more about SynJet® technology.
Nuventix was founded by researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology, including Dr. Raghav Mahalingam who is currently Chief Scientist at Nuventix, with the simple goal of removing more heat with less air. Much of the development was supported by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the U.S. Navy, and the National Science Foundation (NSF). The result is a radically new approach to thermal management that is not only more thermally effective, but is quieter, more flexible and more energy efficient than fans. Nuventix’ current portfolio contains 16 issued patents and 27 patents pending in the US. In addition, there are 2 issued international patents and 7 international patents pending.
